Read and then do the activity called "choose the correct pronouns"

 Reflexive Pronouns

- The reflexive pronouns are:

singular: myself yourself himself herself itself
plural: ourselves yourselves themselves

- We use a reflexive pronoun when the object is the same as the subject of the verb:

I was so scared that I fell and hurt MYSELF.

 - But we do not use a reflexive pronoun after verbs which describe things people usually do for themselves:

It was very cold and he shaved quickly.

- We can use a reflexive pronoun to insist...:

The place ITSELF  was depressing.

- We can use a reflexive pronoun after a preposition:

He wanted to do it by HIMSELF. (without any help)

Each other, one another

We use each other and one another to show that each person in a group does something to the others.

We looked at each other = I looked at her and she looked at me.

Each other is more common than one another ; but traditionally each other implies two (people) while one another implies more people.
